i asked him what the problems were and he said that for one the watchtower building was "altered" to say "read the watchtower daily".
i told him it did not say that but i could not remember the exact quote.
haha it'd be funny if it said, "read God's word the Watchtower daily"... witnesses wouldn't believe it, and then when they saw it in real life, they'd try their best to justify it all day... like the UN scandal... they'd say that apostates changed the sign, then when the watchtower wrote a letter to all the branch overseers explaining it to anyone who asked, they'd just repeat what the letter said HAHA!

we were never allowed to watch horror movies because they were all demonized, but every time my mom and grandmother (who is just as fanatical, if not more) took us kids to a theme park, we would spend half our time in haunted houses, with no questions asked.

i have just started reading 'reasoning from the scriptures with jehovahs witnesses' by ron rhodes.. one of the suggested questions to ask a jw is,.
if jehovahs witnesses are the only true witnesses for god,and if the witnesses as an organization came into being late in the 19th century,does this mean that god was without a witness forover 18 centuries of church history?.
can anyone remember the 'official' line on this and if you had been asked this as a jw how would you have responded?
